Ergonomics for artisans in
developing countries
Current Programs
Ergonomics for teachers and
students in the art classroom
The benefits of ergonomics flow naturally into the
classroom when art teachers have first empowered
themselves to use ergonomics in their own lives.
For the millions of artisans who depend on their craft
for survival, Synergo Arts offers educational resources
and support for using ergonomics to improve quality of
life in a sustainable way.
Artisans working in any medium and any culture can
benefit from ergonomics.
Professional Development for Art Educators
"Ergonomics Empowers Creativity," a 2-hour
workshop held at the annual conference of the
Arizona Art Education Association in Sedona in
November, is an example of professional
development programs being developed by
Synergo Arts for art educators. For a description,
see page 19 of the August 2007 newsletter.
The resources offered by Synergo Arts can be
especially helpful when artisans are:
- preparing to increase production volume of
their existing product lines;
- deciding which new crafts to produce, how to
produce them and what prices to accept for
them.
